Howdy, I'm Simon Willans

I'm a web designer & developer living in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England. I'm currently employed part-time as a web designer at Save9. I am also about to graduate (July, 2009) from the University of Hull, Scarborough Campus, with a degree in Internet Computing. I have a passion and desire for making the web a prettier place, adding creative flare where I can.

  • Willans.net v4

    Type: Website

This design marked a major change in my design portfolio. It was one of the most extensive personal projects I had ever done at the time - finally beginning to incorporate various aspects of the web, such as Flickr and Twitter APIs.

  • Lighthouse View

    Type: Website

Lighthouse View Holiday Flats are a block of holiday flats situated just 50 metres from Scarborough's south-bay beach. I was tasked with creating an online-information page to attract more visitors to the flats.

  • Habbonet v13

    Type: Website, CMS

A few years ago I used to operate, as a part of a small team, a fansite dedicated to Habbo Hotel. The website operated between February 2004 until late 2006 when I stopped using the Habbo environment all together. This was version 13 of this design.

  • Pixel House

    Type: Pixel Art

Back when I was crazy-in-love with my pixel art I decided I would draw a house. This project spanned several weeks, with a few hours work being applied here and there. There were no goals of this project other than to see what I could come up with.
